I've spent years working in cybersecurity including but not limited to building detection
pipelines, hunting adversaries through cloud infrastructure, and turning raw log
data into something actionable. Finding solutions is less a skill than a habit;
I tend to think several steps ahead, looking for ways to automate the repetitive,
eliminate the unnecessary, and build things that don't need to be rebuilt.
Outside of security I'm a builder in the broadest sense. I have a long history
with film photography and pick up my digital camera to document
things worth remembering; being home for Mardi Gras, live music, the kind of moments that
reward a fast lens and good timing. I cook from scratch, learn wherever I can, and tend to go deep on whatever subject earns my attention.
I believe the best work comes from people who can think across disciplines, and
I've spent a long time deliberately becoming that kind of person. Lately that
includes working seriously with AI and large language models,
not as a novelty but as a force multiplier for building things that are
faster and capable of providing new insights.
I'm not afraid to tackle hard problems. Give me a clear goal, room to think,
and access to the right tools. Or, if needed, I'll build those too.
